Each year, nearly 200 students in Cleveland County receive a scholarship to support their secondary education goals – and they don’t even have to apply to receive it. The Foundation’s Senior Scholars program has long worked to ease the financial burden on students and families through these awards, providing scholarships to all graduating seniors that maintain a 4.0 GPA and who are in the top 20% of their graduating class.

“The mission of the Cleveland County Educational Foundation is to enhance, recognize, and celebrate educational opportunities for students and staff in Cleveland County Schools. This grant provided by the Catawba Nation Foundation is an investment in the future of our community and supports the mission of the Cleveland County Educational Foundation. Together, we are providing support and encouragement for our students in Cleveland County,” said Jamey Davis, President of the Cleveland County Educational Foundation.
For many Cleveland County students, the barriers to secondary education are steep – and these scholarships help open doors that increase career options and increase economic opportunity. “I’m pleased that the Catawba Nation Foundation chose to provide a grant that helps students in Cleveland County to further their education,” said Catawba Nation Foundation board member, Phillip Glover. “The Cleveland County Educational Foundation is a great foundation to partner with to make sure the scholarships are given to well deserved
